About the studio
No layers, by choice.
X-Studio is an award-winning studio that started in 2020 as two people who were tired of watching good ideas get diluted by process. We have grown since, but never added layers. The people who sell you the work are the people who do the work.
What we believe
We take on fewer projects than we could.
We would rather ship one considered thing than five adequate ones.
Craft is not decoration. It is the part your customers feel and cannot name.
Senior people, start to finish
No account layer, no handoff to juniors. The team in the kickoff is the team at launch.
Design and code together
Designers who ship and engineers with taste. The gap between mock and build is where quality dies.
Opinionated, not precious
We will tell you when we think you're wrong, then commit fully to the decision you make.
Testimonials
What clients say.
The short version of what it is like to work with a studio where the people you meet are the people who build.
They pushed back on half our brief in the first week, and they were right about most of it. What shipped is simpler than what we asked for and it converts better.

Elena MarshHead of Product, Morrow
The team in the kickoff was the team at launch. After three agencies and three handoffs to juniors, that alone was worth the move.

Devin OseiFounder, Arc
Design and engineering sat in the same thread the whole way, so nothing got lost between the mock and the build. First project I have run without a redline round.

Priya RamanVP Engineering, Kite
We saw working software every week instead of a reveal at the end. By the time we launched there were no surprises left to have.

Jonas WeberCOO, Sora
The design system they handed over is the one our team still uses two years later. It was documented well enough that we never had to call them back for it.

Amara DialloDesign Lead, Vela
They stayed for the last ten percent, the part everyone else quietly cuts. That is the part our customers actually notice.

Tom AldridgeProduct Director, Northwind
Scope, schedule and price were fixed before we started and none of the three moved. I did not know that was still possible.

Sofia GrecOperations Lead, Halden
Our app went from something people tolerated to something people mention on calls. Same feature set, entirely different product.

Marcus HaleCEO, Fieldnote
Senior people end to end, no account layer in between. Every conversation was with someone who was actually building the thing.
